It is with true sorrow and a heavy heart that we learn of the passing of Tommy Dunne, a true football legend and a devoted servant of Queens Park.
Tommy served as Secretary for many years, and his loyalty, commitment and dedication to the club over decades were a testament to the kind of person he was. He gave so much of his time to the game and to Queens, always putting the club and football first.
Tommy was never known for embracing modern technology, but hopefully he knew, and his family will know, just how much respect, admiration and affection there was for him throughout the BSL football family.
On behalf of the Management Committee, I would ask all clubs to observe a minute's applause before Sunday's games as a mark of respect and gratitude for Tommy's outstanding contribution to football.Tommy will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
May he rest in peace.
Our sincere condolences go to his family, loved ones and friends at this very sad time.
