The Nuclear Competitions Birkenhead Sunday League, in association with the Macron Sports Hub, continued with highly anticipated fixtures across the divisions, starting with a crucial clash in the Championship.

Promotion hopefuls Neston Nomads and The Heather Brow shared the spoils in a hard-fought 1-1 draw. Lucas McKendry opened the scoring for Nomads, but The Brow responded through Fenton Cavanagh and held firm for the final 60 minutes despite being down to ten men. The result leaves Neston at the summit, with The Brow occupying second place.

Corsair climbed to third following a solid 2-0 victory over Wirral Hundred, courtesy of decisive goals from Kyle Bennett and Tyler Gill. Elsewhere in the division, Seamus O’Donnell FC secured a 3-1 victory against Lukes, spearheaded by a Carl Hamm brace and a Joel Harper strike, while Stuart Hardman managed a consolation goal for Lukes.

Premier Division action saw Rock Ferry Social claim their first points of the season with a commanding 4-1 win against Wellington FC. Keegan Warrington led the charge with a double, supported by goals from Adam Smith and Jayden Jones, while Harry Brassey converted for Wellington FC.

Rig Move also got off the mark with a superb 3-2 win against Beechwood. Corey Becan, Liam Smith, and James Davies all found the net for Rig Move, rendering responses from Beechwood duo Morgan Woods and Max Langton in vain.

At the top of the table, Queens Park (pictured) and Fender FC both maintained their perfect starts with hard-earned 2-1 victories. Kieran Cartwright and Caleb Murphy scored to secure maximum points for Queens away at Lancelyn, who replied through Ola Bamiduro. Meanwhile, Fender FC defeated a spirited Oxton Celtic side 2-1 thanks to strikes from Luke Naylor and Ben Kearney, with Ste Hird replying for Celtic. Queens now lead the division strictly on goal difference ahead of Fender FC.

It was a game of two halves between FC Bidston and Cheshire Cheese. FC Bidston looked in command at the break following goals from Matty McGuire and Kian Hamm, but a second-half fightback from Cheshire Cheese—featuring a Lewis Greenhalgh brace and a Sean Wilson goal—sealed a dramatic 3-2 win for the visitors.

League One provided immense drama, notably where leaders Eastham Rangers were held to a thrilling 3-3 draw by Parkgate St Germain. Kieran Hodgson, Martin Marshall, and Harry Huggins all scored for Eastham Rangers, seemingly cancelling out earlier efforts from Luis Wilding and Harry Baldwin Brown. However, deep into stoppage time, Parkgate St Germain goalkeeper Steven O’Callaghan came forward to power home a 95th-minute header to rescue a dramatic point.

A Jake Williams double inspired Lottie Dod to a 4-2 victory over Upton Grange FC. Alex Clarke also found the net alongside an own goal, while Layton Harding and Harry Bough provided the replies for Upton. Meanwhile, AFC Raeburn and Glenavon Athletic took a point apiece after Tyler Sutton and Alex Weston traded goals in a 1-1 draw.

In League Two, braces from Abdessamad Errouichi and Dom Quirke guided Lighthouse FC to a comfortable 4-1 victory over New Brighton Rakers, who had Tyler Hickey on the scoresheet.
Sutton Rangers also secured maximum points with a 2-0 win against New Ferry Rangers, courtesy of goals from Joel Spain and Charlie Rooke.

AFC Tima and West Kirby Wasps shared the points in an entertaining 3-3 draw. Simon Saunders, Ussumane Jalo, and Charlie Roberts all scored for AFC Tima, while Patrick Lawler, Cathal Lynch, and Nathan Travis ensured West Kirby Wasps earned a share of the spoils.

Saughall FC maintained pole position at the top of the table with a routine 3-0 win against New Brighton Tower, driven by a Chris Butterworth double and an Andy Noonan strike.
Meanwhile, West Kirby United produced a dominant attacking display to defeat AFC Rangers 14-0. Robbie Nairn led the scoring with four goals, complemented by braces from Cal Scott, Jack Hunter, Matty Keville, and Fin Austin, while Adam Banks and Eddie Dancy rounded off the scoring.

Finally, goals from Jack Heywood and Michael Armour ensured Ridgewood completed a narrow 2-1 victory over MSC Eastham.
